Sri Lanka has experienced a total economic collapse over the last year. The basics like petrol, cooking fuel, electricity, water, and food have become scarce and incredibly costly. At the same time work opportunities and wages have decreased and stagnated. Life in Sri Lanka is difficult for most everyone at this time. Alms and donations to the poorest have all but completely stopped. Sri Lanka is very dependent on foreign kindness and donations. We have been providing the basics like clean water, food, and cooking fuel to the Baranasuriya Home for the Handicapped.
