Personal Statement:
I want to improve the lives of the children across the globe. As a team,
we have already made a difference- directly. With our combined
qualifications and experiences together, we can provide aid and support
to others. I believe that a relatively small group of people can help
another group of people fairly easy, and most effectively.
Work, Hobbies and Interests: I work at Microsoft Corporation where I
have contributed to many
services including Hotmail (where I originally started), Messenger,
Passport/Live ID, and Bing. I have a personal passion for music and art, and have promoted
events and fundraisers within the local community as well as
internationally. Please email me; a strong
social network is a valuable key to happiness and success.

affecting change and creating a better world for our children.

Personal Statement:
COLOR is an opportunity to help children around the
world and add some color to their lives; I feel that by our efforts to
nurture the whole child we give them a chance to be kids once more after
traumatizing experiences. I also hope to expand and empower our donors
awareness to understand that small efforts make a big difference in the
lives of the families we help.
Work, Hobbies and Interests: I have been working for non-profit and
environmentally conscious companies for over 4 years. I use my skills in
organization, administration, and as a representative in order to
promote global awareness and help donors to feel that their efforts are
rewarded. Currently I am planning to attend local colleges and receive
certifications in Non-Profit Management and Fundraising. My goal is to
gain skills that will assist me in advocating for programs that promote
self-sufficiency, with a special focus on women's issues and equal
rights. My interests also include non-violent social reform,
environmental responsibility, Feminist ideology, and independent arts
that promote a hands-on approach to art.
When I have time for my hobbies you will find me redesigning used
clothing, backpacking and exploring the Pacific Northwest, flying stunt
kites, writing essays and editorials, and I hope to take up snowboarding
this winter.
Relevant Experience:
- Fundraising Coordinator for Flight to Mars (2003-2004)
- Art Grant recipient for SeaCompression 2004
- 4 years of experience as an Administrative Coordinator for
non-profit companies.
- Life-long advocate for positive empowerment through education.
